The Covenant World
Author: Creflo Dollar
Summary:
A covenant is a pledge, a promise or a vow between two or more parties to carry out terms agreed upon. It is similar to a contract, but much more binding. The Abrahamic covenant of God was derived from a blood covenant He made with Abraham. The only way out of a blood covenant is through death.
- Our understanding of the covenant world will cause us to prevail against all odds.
- It becomes an anchor to our minds and souls.
- A tremendous amount of faith will begin to soar on the inside of us because we understand the covenant world.
- Doubt will not be able to penetrate our minds when we read the Word with the covenant on our minds.
- Two keys for breaking financial hardship.
- You must be a spiritual Israelite.
- In other words, you must be born again.
- God made covenant with an Israelite—Abraham, and his seed.
- You must have knowledge of the covenant in order to reap its benefits.
- An understanding of the covenant will cause you to be great on Earth.
- You will win over every hardship you face.
- Hardship is not the will of God for us.
- As covenant people we are set apart from the world.
- The covenant is God’s hammer for breaking financial hardship.
- It is God’s will for us to prosper in all areas of our lives (3 John 1:2, AMP).
- The word “prosper” derived from the word “Euodoo”, means to have a successful journey.
- Your soul is your mind, will, and emotions.
- Our minds prosper when our thinking lines up with the Word of God.
- We cannot appropriate the covenant if our minds are not lined up with the Word of God.
- The covenant is not appropriated automatically. We appropriate it when we know the Will of God, which is His Word.
- The Word of God reveals our covenant rights.
- If we do not know the Abrahamic covenant, we are strangers to it and without hope in this world (Ephesians 2:11-12).
- The term Gentile originally referred to anyone who was not a Jew.
- Circumcision was a sign of being a part of the Abrahamic covenant in the Old Testament.
- Now, because of Jesus Christ, a Gentile can also know God and live according to His Word.
- Today, circumcision of the heart is a sign of the Abrahamic covenant.
- The heart here describes the very core of our beings.
- When we begin to have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, we change on the inside.
- Unconditional love fills the very core of our beings.
- This is why it is ineffective to believe only in our minds. We must also believe in our hearts.
- Many Believers are still strangers to their covenant because they are not aware of their covenant rights, or they do not believe in the covenant.
- Jesus is the fulfillment of the blood covenant God established with Abraham.
- When Jesus was dying on the cross and said, “It is finished.” He was referring to the covenant with Abraham.
- All of us can become a part of the covenant when we believe in Jesus.
- The Abrahamic covenant is everlasting. God is ever mindful of the covenant He has with us.
- God wants us to remain mindful of the covenant in every situation we face in life.
- God gives us the power to get wealth so that He may establish His covenant, which he swore to our fathers – Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Deuteronomy 8:17-18).
- Wealth here refers to more than money; it includes influence.
- Power is the ability to get results.
- God gives us the power to get wealth by giving us direction, anointed ideas, and witty inventions through divine wisdom.
- He is obligated by His covenant to bless us in this way.
- When we establish ourselves in the covenant world, we have access to His covenant promises.
