Fear is a major force in our environment. This emotion is so pervasive that many of us may be living in fear without even knowing it. Being afraid causes us to forget what the finished works of Jesus have already made available to us. Communion reminds us of God’s love, protection, deliverance, and constant presence in our lives; understanding its significance defeats the spirit of fear.
