Summary

We may not be able to physically see our emotions, but they are a powerful force in our lives. Our feelings are designed to allow us to enjoy life; however, we must learn to control them in order to prevent them from moving us in the wrong direction. Emotions can either be godly or ungodly; one of the most dangerous emotions is depression. The enemy operates in the emotional realm, and his intent is to use our emotions to move us away from the will of God and destroy our lives. Thankfully, God’s Word gives us specific instructions on how to master negative feelings and achieve emotional stability. We do this by meditating on the Word and allowing it to impact our thinking. When we go to the Word every time we encounter an issue or a problem, we reshape our minds to line up with the spiritual things of God.
