Your Supernatural Success

For some people, navigating through life can be a confusing maze, filled with failure and frustration. What they may not realize is that everyone has at their disposal supernatural help to guarantee success. God has set aside for us everything we need to succeed in life, if only we let Him take the helm. When we acknowledge and accept how His grace applies to our lives, what was formerly a mystery to us will become clear.

Grace isn’t just a few words mumbled before a meal—grace is unearned, undeserved favor from God, given to us when we accept His Son Jesus. Both Believers and non-Believers alike will face challenges in life, but the difference between the two groups is that God has equipped Believers with everything they need to succeed. The wisdom and direction God’s grace provides us is the rudder that keeps us on course.

Have you ever seen some people struggle feebly with a problem, only to fail, while others facing the same problem succeed powerfully? It may be breaking an addiction to drugs, alcohol or tobacco, overcoming the compulsion to steal, or resisting the tendency to gossip and spread strife and discord. When we try to “go it alone,” our chances of success are questionable. But when we let God get involved, our success rate is 100 percent.

Individuals who make the conscious decision to give their problem areas over to God find that they no longer want to sin. The temptation that they were powerless to resist before is now gone, replaced by the desire to do what is right (Philippians 2:13). The manifestations can include smokers who quit “cold turkey” without any cravings, alcoholics who walk away from liquor and never touch it again, and incurable gossips who suddenly lose all interest in talking trash.

The game-changer here is grace, which is more powerful than sin. When we acknowledge that we’re too weak on our own to stop doing what we know is wrong, the power of grace goes to work. God actually strengthens our weak areas (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Life has its ups and downs, and the three-pronged spirit of discouragement, depression and despair is always lurking. But when we accept Jesus, Who is Grace, and He comes to live inside us, we become His holy temple. With Him living in us, those spirits have no way to gain access. “For the grace of God (His unmerited favor and blessing) has come forward (appeared) for the deliverance from sin and the eternal salvation for all mankind. It has trained us to reject and renounce all ungodliness (irreligion) and worldly (passionate) desires, to live discreet (temperate, self-controlled), upright, devout (spiritually whole) lives in this present world” (Titus 2: 11, 12, AMP).

Grace gives us a relationship with Jesus, makes us God’s highly-favored children, and opens the door to eternal salvation. That’s definitely something the world doesn’t have!  As such, we don’t have to tolerate miserable circumstances or stay enslaved to ungodliness or evil. We also gain access to God’s promises of peace, mercy, prosperity, and abundance in every area of our lives.

Even the strongest athletes are no match for the power of Grace, Who helps us do things we can’t do alone. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8, 9).  This powerful and free gift from God has the simple message of unconditional love and acceptance.
