God always accepts us just the way we are, but after getting born again, we mustn’t be satisfied to remain the same. He loves us unconditionally, even when He doesn’t approve of everything we do. We all want to begin changing for the better, but this isn’t possible through our own willpower; only through the power of Christ in us. He’s righteous and holy, and therefore, we are also; when life challenges our new identity, we must steadfastly believe that we’re the righteousness of God. The changes that take place in us on every level are inevitable when we keep our eyes on Jesus. When the previously fearful and timid apostles faced the people and gave their testimonies after Jesus’ resurrection, they were amazed at their boldness and confidence. The same is true with us; spending time with Him will cause others to marvel when they look at us.
