More Grace to the Humble

Print

Regardless of our experience, knowledge, or education, we all need God’s grace in our lives. Grace flows more freely when we humble ourselves. Humbling ourselves as instructed in James 4:10 is not a one-time event. It is the constant practice of submitting to God’s will and walking in His ways. Your entire life can be transformed with the decision to submit to God. You can know God more and know Him better when you resist the devil and submit to God, instead. There is probably a specific area of your life in which you need to see God’s grace. Have you asked Him what He wants you to do and waited for His response before you’ve done anything? If not, spend some time in the Word this week. 1 Peter 5:5 promises that if you are humble (you resist pride and submit to God), grace will find you. If you are not challenged in any area right now, but you want to know what God has next for you, follow the same strategy. Ask Him and accept what He reveals to you. Things will always get better when God is involved. No matter where you are in your life right now, when you settle this area of pride and humble yourself, you will allow the grace of God to flow more freely. Everything associated with you will change and begin to mirror the victory outlined in God’s Word when you get the focus off of yourself and onto God. God created you with a specific purpose, but you must humble yourself to walk in that purpose. Receive the fullness of all that He has for you and watch your life begin to change in an awesome way!

Prayer:

Lord, reveal any areas of our lives where we have not fully submitted to You. We humble ourselves to receive revelation from You and to act on the wisdom that You provide. Thank You for Your love and grace. It is in Jesus’ name that we pray. Amen.
