Restoration of Power to the Believer

As believers, we have been transformed from living in the natural realm to living in the supernatural realm. Looking around us, we see many people struggling with issues over which God has given us authority. It’s not His will for us to be powerless over whatever trouble we encounter in life. When we trust in God and the grace He has toward us, we experience a restoration of power that gives us victory over every situation that comes against us.

Being born again has made us children of God, and freed us from slavery to the natural forces operating in the world. When things in the natural don’t work for us like they should, we have access to the supernatural, where there are no limitations. This means we have every right to expect supernatural results in every area of our lives. Regardless of the circumstances, when God is for us, it doesn’t matter who is against us.

This is an important truth and we must believe it. God loves us and promises to always be with us no matter what happens; internalizing this truth helps us maintain the victory that Jesus died to obtain. This love gives us a hope on which we can rely, because the Holy Spirit lives inside us. Even when our love for Him falters, His love has always been strong; He deliberately loved us before we even learned to love Him.

No matter what we do, we can’t separate ourselves from His love. The love we receive from God overcomes the fear in the world. Sometimes we will sense demonic forces trying to get us to doubt this, but the truth is that our heavenly Father will never leave us or forsake us. As the source of all power and authority, He gives us His Word on this.

Lord, through Your unmerited favor You gave us power and authority over every situation in life, to allow us to live victoriously. Everything good that we have is because of Your grace. We praise and thank You because of Your goodness. In Jesus’ name, amen.
