Restoration of Power to the Believer

Print

In these last days, we’re in a spiritual war against the devil. It may appear that he has won the battle, but things are not always what they appear to be. There’s a major shift getting ready to happen, and God is preparing to turn the tide in favor of the believer. What the enemy has stolen from us, God is about to restore.

In the Old Testament, God promised the people He would restore the years that the locust, the cankerworm, the caterpillar, and the palmerworm had eaten. This promise still stands today. On the physical level, Satan is working hard to keep us broke and struggling; on the spiritual level, he works just as hard to steal our peace and joy and replace it with stress, fear, and anxiety. However, his plans fail when we believe that Jesus has given us power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy.

Living in the natural realm puts us in bondage to the things we don’t want to do. When we got born again, God moved us from the natural to the supernatural and made us His sons and daughters. As His children, we’ve been freed from slavery to the natural forces operating in the world. We who are born again aren’t children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.

Our authority was made possible by Jesus’ death and resurrection. God has raised up the Lord, and will also raise us up by His own power. Therefore, we don’t have to be afraid of the enemy; if God is for us, nothing can stand against us. His love makes us more than conquerors, and nothing can separate us from this love.

Satan knows he’s already a defeated foe. Standing firmly on God’s promises of abundance, prosperity, and victory in life keeps us in perfect peace, because we keep our minds on Him. There’s no defeating a confident Christian who knows He has already won the victory.

Prayer:

Lord, You gave us power and authority over the devil, and over every situation in life. Your grace empowers us to live victoriously. We thank You for this. In Jesus’ name, amen.
