The Reality of God’s Promises

Print

Anyone who has ever felt the need for the stability that something real and unchanging brings to their lives needs to look no further than God’s Word. For those who don’t understand or believe it, the preaching of the cross is foolishness, but for Christians, the power of His promises is real. When we see others struggling to succeed, we know that we’ve already received everything we need in life to succeed. God has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.

Physical blessings begin as spiritual blessings. Faith is our positive response to what grace has done, and when we use our faith to receive what grace has made available to us, it’s only a matter of time until we see their manifestations on the physical level. It’s important that we believe this. The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, but not all men have been saved because not everyone chooses to believe in the promises.

The blessings include healing, financial security, deliverance from trouble, peace, joy, and any anything else we could ever need. We don’t have to ask God for these, because they’re already inside us. What we do need to ask for is the wisdom to discern His will for us in daily circumstances. When we seek first the kingdom of God and what He says, all these things will be added to us.

Trusting God in this area helps us realize that everything will turn out fine, regardless of any situation that rises up against us. We know that all things work together for good, for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. God is no myth, and His grace is no fantasy. When the chips are down, He’s the only one we can rely on when we need help.

Prayer:

God, when everything else in life we depend on shifts and crumbles under our feet, Your promises are the only thing we can trust. Your Word is the unchanging rock we can stand on, and it gives us firm footing. Thank You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
