One Ministry, One Church, One Message Worldwide
The Reality of Heaven
If you’ve ever studied science or philosophy, you may have noticed that many scientists and philosophers hypothesize and develop their theories without taking into account spiritual realities. The world’s ways of thinking are widespread and deeply entrenched, and if we’re not careful, we could buy into an idea or concept that isn’t true. Many are searching for something that gives their life real meaning in the present as well as the future. What worldly disciplines leave out is the existence of heaven. |
Letting God Open the Door to All Possibilities |
Jesus or Religion?
Many of us probably have a few childhood memories of an overly strict Sunday school teacher, or a minister harping on God’s wrath and condemnation during Sunday morning service. For some people, those memories are enough to cause them to stop going to church altogether. When we associate images like these with church, it’s the world’s view of religion being pushed at us, but we’re not seeing the true Jesus. Not only is God not angry with us, He loves us so much that He wants to spend eternity with us in heaven. |

Take Courage, My Children
At any given time, the world can be a beautiful, wonderful place, but it can also be a fearful, discouraging place. Whether we’re single or married, children or adults, young or old, everyone is bound to face pain and adversity. With no help or encouragement, we’d all certainly give up on life and stop trying. But when we study the Scriptures, we find encouragement to get us through the dark days. |

Experiencing Real Change
Change means different things to different people. For many of us who underwent changes in our lives after a death, divorce, or loss of a job, it was a painful thing that was endured with gritted teeth. When we see something in ourselves we want to change, it’s discouraging when we try to do it all by ourselves and fail. But we can find encouragement when we see how the Bible puts change and transformation into perspective. |
Speaking God’s Language
True prayer is a heartfelt, one-on-one conversation with God, which is something the world knows nothing about. Many of us as children learned our bedtime prayers word for word, but that was simply by memory. A real conversation is a two-way communication process, and as our heavenly Father, God very much wants to talk directly with us. God is love, and learning to speak His language makes it easier to hear what He has to say to us. |
You Don’t Have to Save Yourself
Too often, I see people struggling through life carrying burdens they created for themselves. Those burdens could be resentment, anger, fear, addictions, laziness, or anything else that keeps them from experiencing success. The painful problems they can’t handle on their own make them bitter and discouraged, and they wonder sadly if that’s all there is to life. The good news is that God would like nothing better than to replace their pain with victory and joy. |
The Effects of Righteousness
When we study world history, we read about the triumphs of conquerors like Alexander the Great, Augustus Caesar, and Charlemagne. Their works were no doubt legendary, but they are not generally known for their righteousness, their faith, or their Christian principles. True triumph comes not from conquering others or performing heroic acts through our own efforts, but through a relationship with Jesus Christ. |
God’s Priority Is Loving Us
Some of us are so amazed at God’s power and might, we forget His other side. God is indeed strong and just, but He also loves us with a love so great we can’t comprehend it. We receive this love and acceptance not from anything we did, but from accepting Jesus Christ and making Him Lord of our lives. God loves all creatures great and small, and we are by no means the least. |
Is Jesus Enough?
Personal relationships are important to us, and relationships with others can enrich our lives and make them more enjoyable. Yet, many people fail to realize the importance of a relationship with Jesus Christ. Some mistakenly believe that the simplicity of this bond with God isn’t enough to be saved, and they feel they must perform good works to help things along. But we don’t need to let religion or the traditions of man dilute this perfect union. |
Succeeding in Everything You Do
Two dictionary definitions of success are to achieve a desired outcome, or to reach a goal one has set for oneself. Depending on what we want out of life, success can mean many things and can be reached by multiple paths. These definitions focus on our own self-efforts to get what we want, but the Bible has a whole different perspective of success. Worldly success can be fleeting and hollow, but God wants us to have the true and lasting success that only comes from Him. |
