You Can’t Exhaust Grace
Have you ever waded through crowds of shoppers at the store to buy something you needed, only to find out they were sold out? Perhaps you went to your local supermarket for milk and bread after an emergency was announced, but the supply of food had been exhausted and the shelves were bare. It can be frustrating to see that there’s nothing left for you, and when you rely on the world as your source of supply, this kind of thing can happen. But making God our source gives us a supply of grace that never runs out when we’re in trouble. |

Marriage God’s Way
Many couples experience a time of transition when they get married, but some of them may find that the change from single to married life is more of a struggle than they expected. Sometimes old habits that have become ingrained are hard to change, and adjusting to a new life with a spouse can be unsettling. For both parties, there’s always the challenge of getting accustomed to everyday issues like handling money, setting up housekeeping, and relating to the in-laws. To stay centered, we should realize that God created the institution of marriage as a holy union between one man and one woman, and truly successful marriages are the ones built with Him as the bedrock. |

Understanding How to Handle the Death of a Loved One
Summary The death of someone we love can be heartbreaking. Whether it is gradual or sudden, it is painful and brings sadness and grieving. Loving someone makes us vulnerable to sorrow; however, God does not want us to refrain from loving people simply to avoid future grief when they die. God’s Word reassures us that any emotional pain we feel now is only temporary, but the joy from being reunited with our loved ones in heaven will be forever. This redirects our focus and gives us hope. It is okay to grieve when someone dies; however, knowing God’s promises of life after death helps in the healing process, matures us spiritually, and enables us to comfort others in their time of sadness. We will never become trapped in despair or hopelessness when we depend on God and His Word to comfort us when we are hurting.

Trust God, Not Money
Of all the life lessons we can learn from the Bible, some people find that the most uncomfortable ones relate to money. The world worships money to such a degree that it is elevated to the status of an idol, and entire industries have been built around it. Money is nothing more than pieces of paper and metals, yet many people base their entire lives around it. Regardless of the currency or denomination, when we trust it more than God, it can fail us. |

Power to Change into a Brand New Person |
2017 Grace Life Conference (Session 24)
SUMMARYThere is a connection between life transformation and being born again that we miss sometimes. Real transformation happens when we discover who we really are in Christ. Having the right belief about ourselves equals authentic repentance, which is a change of mind concerning our identity. This is the point where we realize that what we do does not determine who we are. Our change in identity means we are the righteousness of God and no longer sinners or defeated people. The apostle Paul, who initially had persecuted believers, was the perfect example of a person who totally believed in his new identity in Christ. The change that took place inside him when he met Jesus made him into a new creation. We undergo the same transformation when we are born again. It allows us to say, “That old person is not me anymore.” |
