“And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened” (Luke 11:9, 10).

Summary

To redeem is to re-purchase, buy back, or win back, which is what Jesus did when He redeemed us from the hands of the enemy. When Adam and Eve ate of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, Satan stole what God gave them. As a result, the curse of the Law of Moses came down on men and women, and it took Jesus coming to earth and shedding His blood to buy humankind back. Because of what He did, we are forgiven and free from the consequences of sin. The sacrifice Jesus made means we no longer have to live under the curse, and we are free to enjoy all of God’s blessings. We now have the ability to live life according to what God originally intended for us since the beginning of time. This is good news for all believers.

No More Worries Pt. 1

“Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light” (Matthew 11:29, 30, NLT).

“Thus says the Lord: The people who survived the sword found favor in the wilderness [place of exile]—when Israel sought to find rest. The Lord appeared from of old to me [Israel], saying, Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you” (Jeremiah 31:2, 3, AMPC).

“But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such ‘wisdom’ does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice” (James 3:14-16, NIV).

“Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]” (Hebrews 4:16, AMPC).
