How Great a Love
When we consider people we see at random, it’s very likely that many of them don’t know what true love is really all about. They may think they do, based on the romantic love depicted on television and in movies. But when we pick up our Bible and begin studying it, our eyes are opened to its true meaning. Love comes directly from God, and He has deliberately aimed it squarely at us. |

Spiritual Blindness: Saved, but Blind (Part 4)
SummaryIf we do not understand what Jesus did for us two thousand years ago, we will go through life spiritually blind. When our spiritual eyes remain closed, we continue to respond to situations based on our own limited understanding. This is a major problem, even within the church. Christ came to open the prison doors of spiritual blindness so that the captives could be set free from the Law of Moses. When our eyes are opened to Jesus and His grace, then we will no longer be bound by performance-based religion. In order to get the big picture of what God has done and continues to do, we must learn how to put the entire Bible in context. The Bible is divided into three dispensations, and we cannot mix them; if we operate under the wrong dispensation, we will not see God’s manifestations in our lives. |

Experiencing Real Change
Change means different things to different people. For many of us who underwent changes in our lives after a death, divorce, or loss of a job, it was a painful thing that was endured with gritted teeth. When we see something in ourselves we want to change, it’s discouraging when we try to do it all by ourselves and fail. But we can find encouragement when we see how the Bible puts change and transformation into perspective. |

Jesus or Religion?
Many of us probably have a few childhood memories of an overly strict Sunday school teacher, or a minister harping on God’s wrath and condemnation during Sunday morning service. For some people, those memories are enough to cause them to stop going to church altogether. When we associate images like these with church, it’s the world’s view of religion being pushed at us, but we’re not seeing the true Jesus. Not only is God not angry with us, He loves us so much that He wants to spend eternity with us in heaven. |
