Remember as a child when you made a bad decision that later led to a guilty conscience? We’ve all been there and have had our own experiences—it’s part of growing up. As children, most of us were instilled with values that taught us to do our best and be honest and respectful. The world calls that internal moral compass our conscience, but when we study the Bible, we learn that it’s really the Holy Spirit at work.

We’ve all seen and heard stories of the movie star or athlete who works hard and pushes himself to the limit, to earn the world’s respect and a few moments in front of the television cameras. For awhile he basks in the spotlight and enjoys the attention, but eventually the world moves on and forgets about him. A few years later he runs into trouble, whether it’s an identity crisis, a drug or alcohol problem, or scrapes with the law. More often than not, it ends badly.

“Antes bien, como está escrito: cosas que ojo no vio, ni oído oyó, ni han subido en corazón de hombre, son las que Dios ha preparado para los que le aman. Pero Dios nos las revelo a nosotros por el Espíritu, porque el Espíritu todo lo escudriña, aun lo profundo de Dios” (1 Corintios 2:9, 10).

“Di mi cuerpo a los heridores, y mis mejillas a los que me mesaban la barba, no escondí mi rostro de injurias y de esputos” (Isaías 50:6).

“Nunca se apartará de tu boca este libro de la ley, sino que de día y de noche meditarás en el, para que guardes y hagas conforme a todo lo que en el está escrito. Porque entonces harás prosperar tu camino, y todo te saldrá bien” (Josué 1:8).

For some people, navigating through life can be a confusing maze, filled with failure and frustration. What they may not realize is that everyone has at their disposal supernatural help to guarantee success. God has set aside for us everything we need to succeed in life, if only we let Him take the helm. When we acknowledge and accept how His grace applies to our lives, what was formerly a mystery to us will become clear.

Summary

Intellectually, we already know the importance of living in the proper balance of grace and faith. However, it is not enough simply to have head knowledge that by grace we are already healed, delivered, prosperous, and sound. It is not good to realize that these things have been made available to us, yet be unable to access them. Just like the right mix of sodium and chloride makes salt and adds flavor to our food, the right mix of grace and faith adds manifestations to our lives. It is time for Christians to know how to walk in the manifestations of what grace has provided. We do that by avoiding the extremes of leaning too far toward either grace or faith. Because of the finished works of Jesus, all we need to do to experience God’s glory is to employ our faith in what He did.

“Only a spectator shall you be [yourself inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High] as you witness the reward of the wicked” (Psalm 91:8, AMPC).

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6).

Every day, society perpetuates what it means to be a man, but no one seems to be dealing with the root cause of losing sight of your manhood.

“And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time; afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended” (Mark 4:17).

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6).

“Yo entonces dije, ¿quién eres, Señor, y el Señor dijo: Yo soy Jesús, a quien tu persigues” (Hechos 26:15).
