A Godly View of Wealth
When some people hear the word “money,” their eyes light up like they’re seeing dancing dollar signs. There’s nothing wrong with having money in the bank, but we’ve all seen individuals who take it to the extreme and seek it exclusively. We all need money, but many people have the wrong relationship with it, and how to get it. The Bible tells us there are right ways and wrong ways to acquire wealth. |

“And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him. And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus. And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee” (Luke 5:18-20). |

Life Is Not a Dress Rehearsal
Some people drift through life with no clue why they’re even here. You may have witnessed individuals who wonder what comes next after we die, and whether our time here on this planet has any meaning at all. The world has coined the phrase “Life is not a dress rehearsal,” and although its meaning is secular, this has quite a bit of truth in it. Looking at this phrase through the lens of the Bible brings it into perfect clarity. |

Positioning Yourself to be Led By God
Summary We all have a reason for living. God has a purpose for each of our lives; to find out what it is, we simply need to tune in to Him and let Him lead us. Learning to follow God involves being born again, and developing a relationship with Him as our heavenly Father. This brings clarity and understanding to what His plan is for us. Putting ourselves in a position for Him to lead us involves a willingness to be humble and accept His direction and guidance. Faith is also necessary on our spiritual walk, as is a relationship with the Holy Spirit. Studying God’s Word and allowing it to influence us brings us spiritual light so that we can see where to walk on our journey.

Communicating with God
Life can be pretty challenging, and when we find ourselves in a difficult situation with no clue about what to do, we can handle it in one of two ways. We can either devise our own strategy and rely on our own perceived cleverness, or acknowledge that we need divine help. Situations can quickly spiral out of control at any time, and when we’re backed against a wall with no way out, the truly wise person realizes that God can pull us out of any predicament. When we’re in trouble, prayer is the only real solution. |
