July 29
“And so you cancel the word of God in order to hand down your own tradition. And this is only one example among many others” (Mark 7:13, NLT).
Human traditions can override and nullify God’s truth if we accept them blindly without examining them carefully. He therefore warns us against elevating culture or habit above Scripture.
July 28
“For the same God who worked through Peter as the apostle to the Jews also worked through me as the apostle to the Gentiles. In fact, James, Peter, and John, who were known as pillars of the church, recognized the gift God had given me, and they accepted Barnabas and me as their co-workers. They encouraged us to keep preaching to the Gentiles, while they continued their work with the Jews” (Galatians 2:8, 9, NLT).
God assigns different roles and callings, but all are equally important in His purpose. Unity in the body of Christ doesn’t require identical assignments; diversity of mission can still produce harmony.
July 27
“Then he added, ‘Pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given—and you will receive even more’” (Mark 4:24, NLT).
Spiritual growth requires intentional listening and attentiveness to God’s Word. This aligns with the principle of increase, which says that what we receive and apply multiplies in our lives.

“They are always thinking about how much it costs. ‘Eat and drink,’ they say, but they don’t mean it” (Proverbs 23:7, NLT).
A person’s true character is revealed by their inner thoughts, not merely their outward words. We must be on the alert for insincerity—someone may appear generous but have selfish motives.
July 25
“So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor” (1 Peter 5:6, NLT).
God promises to exalt us, but this comes in His timing, not ours. Learning to live according to His schedule takes patience and a shift in our mindset.
July 24
“And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, ‘God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.’ So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:6, 7 NLT).
Humility is the gateway to receiving God’s grace; by comparison, pride puts us in opposition to God. Spiritual authority begins with our submission—first to God, then resistance against the devil becomes effective.
July 23
“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live” (Deuteronomy 30:19).
Personal decisions often affect future generations, influencing families and communities. The instruction to “choose life” reveals God’s desire for people to walk in obedience and receive His blessing.
July 22
“Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8, NLT).
The devil seeks opportunities to bring discouragement, temptation, deception, and destruction. This comparison to a roaring lion emphasizes the seriousness of spiritual warfare.
July 21
“To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” (Ephesians 1:6, 7).
Salvation is entirely the work of God’s grace, not human achievement. He accepts us because we’re united with Christ, “the beloved.”
