The Authority of the Believer

We’ve been given tremendous power. The authority that God gave Jesus and Jesus shared with His disciples is the same ability that He, in turn, gave to us. This empowers us to do the same things that He did during His ministry, including healing the sick, casting out unclean spirits, and even raising the dead and walking on water. However, nothing will happen until we “flip the switch” and activate this power by believing it. We align ourselves with this by realizing that we can simply rest in the authority we already have; no performance is needed. This is something the devil doesn’t want us to know, which is why it’s so important to visualize ourselves as we already are in Christ. Changing our thinking from how the world thinks to how God thinks positions us to receive from Him.
