One Ministry, One Church, One Message Worldwide
The weekly meditation scripture and inspirational nugget are designed to encourage you in your walk with God, strengthen your faith and give you a specific scripture to meditate on all week long. To get the most out of these weekly scriptures, we encourage you to keep them before you every day and apply them to your life and circumstances. Declare them daily and stay focused on them until you experience true results.
Although life can be exciting and wonderful much of the time, we’ve all hit rough spots when it seemed like everything went wrong at once. We may remember the fearful feeling that everything we worked for had been stolen from us in an instant. There’s actually an enemy loose in the world; his name is Satan, and he’s intent on stealing what he can from us. Thankfully, God’s favor has made available supernatural restoration of everything the enemy stole.
The devil wants to steal our peace, our happiness, our joy, our prosperity, and everything good we have. His deeds can bruise our spirits and leave us feeling heartsick and emotionally wounded. God restores our health and heals our wounds. This type of restoration is actually God’s will.
The only thing that blocks restoration is doubt that God wants to do this. In the Old Testament, David had to flee from King Saul, who wanted to kill him. The situation looked bleak for David, but his faith caused him to experience God’s restoration. David declared he would have fainted if he had not believed he would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
When we contemplate God’s promise of restoration of everything that we lost, we can’t help but rejoice. Happiness comes from how we feel, but joy comes from what we know. Faith takes what grace has already made; we receive by faith what the finished works of Jesus made available to us. God has restored the joy of our salvation, and He upholds us with His Spirit.
Joy is powerful and explosive; when our joy is restored, the door opens to restoration in other areas as well. Even if the fig tree won’t blossom, there’s no fruit on the vines, the fields yield no meat, and there’s no herd in the stalls, we can take joy in the God of our salvation. When we rejoice, restoration isn’t far behind.
God, Your will for us is restoration of anything missing or broken in our lives. This is because You’re a good God who gives us good things because You love us. Thank You for Your favor toward us. In Jesus’ name, amen.
