Summary
Believers under grace don’t have to work to obey a long list of rules. All we need to do is to believe in Jesus and in what He accomplished when He died on the cross and drew all of our sins onto Himself. According to God’s justice, mankind deserved hell for the sins he committed. Jesus sacrificed His body and blood to pay the ransom on our behalf, so that we could receive eternal life in heaven. Because of what Christ did, we’ve been reconciled back to God and forgiven of all our sins—even the ones we haven’t committed yet. Unlike under the law, faith in Jesus allows God to show us unconditional love, mercy, and forgiveness regardless of our actions. Belief in all He did for us radically changes our lives.
