Offense is an effective trap Satan uses to pull believers out of the will of God. It begins as a feeling of resentment or hurt but quickly becomes a spiritual stumbling block that will block our peace, hinder our prayers, and harden our hearts. Scripture warns that offense is inevitable, yet taking it is a choice that leads to separation from love, grace, and spiritual maturity. When we hold onto offense, we step out of alignment with God’s direction, block His anointing, and forfeit blessings meant for us. True maturity is refusing to take the bait and remaining anchored in love. By following Jesus’ example of forgiveness and compassion, we stay in harmony with our identity in Christ. Living offense–free allows us to reflect God’s grace, keep our hearts soft, and continue growing in righteousness and peace.
