Summary
God’s grace brings supernatural transformation, so that our lives are better than before. Its initial work is to transform death into life. Death was the result of sin in the garden of Eden; grace was God’s answer to it. This undeserved, unearned favor from Him brings regeneration and makes us righteous in His eyes when we were previously unrighteous sinners. Jesus’ first miracle of turning water into wine, which involved instantly transforming an inorganic substance into an organic one, was a powerful demonstration of His ability to provide for us when our own resources come to an end. Under the law, Jesus’ miracles were based on what He did to persuade the people to believe in Him; by comparison, under grace, His miracles are now His way of getting us to believe in what He says. We’re transformed when we believe in Christ, the only one able to raise back to life something that was formerly dead. .
