Summary
Life is more than just what we see and feel with our five senses. We need food and water on the physical level, but we also need God’s grace to sustain our spiritual lives. Jesus, who is grace in human form, provides us with spiritual meat that we cannot earn through our works. He gives it to us without us doing anything to deserve it; this food leads to eternal life and ensures that we’ll never perish. Jesus has already provided everything we’ll ever need; we receive it by believing, not by working. This is the choice we all face—whether to depend on God, or to fall back into to the law, which encourages striving and self-dependence. Jesus finished all the work that needed to be done for our righteousness and salvation; all that remains for us to do now is simply to believe in Him..
