Summary
God offers grace to everyone, regardless of who they are or their standing in life. This was illustrated when He chose to meet with the Samaritan woman, an outcast who was considered unclean. Such is the nature of grace—it shows up in places where we don’t think it should be. It’s unexpected; while we’re ministering to others, God allows us to harvest what we didn’t labor to sow. Whether written or spoken, God’s Word is living and alive; we can only recognize it when we have a personal relationship with Him. Immediately believing what He tells us, without questioning, lets God work in our lives the way He wants to. Similar to the way Mary responded to Jesus when He came to visit her and Martha, we can only benefit from what He wants to give us by quieting our spirits and simply receiving from Him.
