The Gift

There are traditional reasons to celebrate Christmas, and then there are the real reasons. There is nothing wrong with the trees, lights, gifts, and family traditions, but, if we are not careful, we can find ourselves not feeling “the Christmas spirit.” We who have been born again can sense this Spirit every day of our lives because He lives inside us. We celebrate Christmas because, until Jesus came, all people were in bondage and destined for hell. The Law of Moses was given because of sin, but man could not keep it and was headed for eternal death. When God sent His Son in fleshly form to set us free, He presented to us the greatest gift of all.
