Summary
Believers who understand the relationship between themselves and their heavenly Father receive the ability to operate in the supernatural realm. The world will never recognize the family relationship we have with God; during Jesus’ ministry, not even the Jews would accept Him as the Son of God. Choosing to receive Jesus and believe in Him gives us the privilege to become God’s immortal children. There’s a huge difference between the law and grace; on a spiritual level, the law is for children, but grace is for sons. Every child of God receives a solid sense of identity in Him, plus His unconditional acceptance and approval; this is something we don’t have to earn. Being God’s sons and daughters gives us a tremendous advantage in that we can rely on Him for our supply instead of on our own limited, physical resources. Now that we’ve been freed from bondage to the law, we must walk in the freedom grace gives us, and never relinquish our sonship.
