The Truth About the Authority of the Believer (Part 2)

As believers, our authority comes from our identity in Jesus Christ. We’re righteous, forgiven, healed, and one with God. It’s imperative that we know who we are; if not, we must renew our minds to our true identity. A successful Christian life flows from understanding that we’re not what we do, but who God says we are; believing this eventually impacts our behavior for the better. Operating in our identity as God’s children gives us the same power and ability that Christ holds. Faith in this saves us from useless self-effort to do what is already done. Allowing God to change our thinking results in life-changing transformation in us.
