September 6
“Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me” (John 14:30).
Believers are called to eliminate spiritual footholds that give the enemy access. Sin can give him opportunities to influence our lives, but walking in obedience to God helps prevent such footholds from developing.
September 5
“Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth” (1 Peter 2:2).
As followers of Christ, we’re encouraged to imitate His character, humility, and obedience. His life demonstrates what complete submission to God looks like.

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).
This captures the heart of the Gospel of Grace and exemplifies the Great Exchange that Jesus accomplished. Christ took upon Himself the penalty for sin even though He was completely innocent; in return, we receive a right standing before God through faith.

“For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin” (Hebrews 4:15).
Christ experienced the realities of life in a fallen world. He understands weakness, suffering, pressure, and temptation from firsthand experience; we can therefore confidently bring our struggles to Him.

“Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith” (Romans 16:25, 26).
Spiritual stability comes from God's power rather than from human effort. Grace, in the form of Jesus Christ, is how He establishes believers in the faith.
September 1
“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly” (Matthew 11:28-30, MSG).
Constant drama in our relationships is not only unhealthy but also exhausting, and many of us know what it feels like to be worn down by repeated conflict. Jesus offers us rest from this through a relationship with Him.
August 31
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).
Christianity is more than just following rules; it’s God living in and working through us. The Christian life is impossible to live independently of Christ.
August 30
“And why do you think I keep risking my neck in this dangerous work? I look death in the face practically every day I live. Do you think I’d do this if I wasn’t convinced of your resurrection and mine as guaranteed by the resurrected Messiah Jesus?” (1 Corinthians 15:30-31, MSG).
Paul viewed the spread of the gospel as a mission worth every risk. His example reminds us that serving Christ may require courage, perseverance, and personal sacrifice.
August 29
“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption” (1 Corinthians 1:30).
Christ Himself is the source of wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. When we get born again and He takes up residence in us, then we are wise, righteous, sanctified, and redeemed.
