“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples” (John 15:7, 8).
“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples” (John 15:7, 8).

“You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only… For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also” (James 2:24, 26, NKJV).
When we truly believe something, our verbal confession is followed by corresponding action. These works of faith move what we pray for from the spiritual realm to the physical realm.

“What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?... Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead” (James 2:14, 17, NKJV).
Faith is important to us as Christians, but we must demonstrate it by our actions. This is how we prove to ourselves that what we say we believe is more than just empty words. When we put our faith to work, we may find ourselves doing things we don’t fully understand, but God honors this type of faith.

“Beloved, do not be amazed and bewildered at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test your quality, as though something strange (unusual and alien to you and your position) were befalling you” (1 Peter 4:12, AMPC).
All of us encounter adversity at some point. It’s a given that the enemy will create trouble for us. Trusting God in the midst of it strengthens our character and deepens our faith in Him.

“For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God” (Ephesians 2:18, 19, NKJV).
Accepting Jesus and all of His finished works means we’re no longer sinners or strangers to God. Jesus gave us His Holy Spirit to connect us to Him and make us members of His own heavenly family.

“And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins… But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)” (Ephesians 2:1, 4, 5, NKJV).
God loves us so much that even when we were spiritually dead, He gave us new life through Christ. He did this because of the underserved, unearned favor He has toward us.

“The words of a man's mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook... A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes. A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul” (Proverbs 18:4, 6, 7).
What we speak has great impact. With our mouth, we can create enough trouble to drown ourselves, start arguments, and cause destruction. Likewise, we can use our words as God intended: to encourage, edify, and strengthen.

“If you falter in a time of trouble, how small is your strength!” (Proverbs 24:10, NIV).
We all have our weak moments, and there isn’t a single person who has never faltered or wavered. Our own strength is insufficient when we encounter trouble; we need God’s strength to support us.

“Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble” (Psalm 119:165, NKJV).
When our love for God is great enough to lead us to live godly, we find peace in Him. He gives us the stability to successfully walk on our Christian journey.
