“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer” (Psalm 19:14).
Our attitudes control not only what we say, but how we say it. Our thoughts and our speech are linked, and the Christ-like attitudes we learn by studying God’s Word help us infuse grace into everything we say.

“Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom. Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven” (Proverbs 23:4, 5).
Seeking money for its own sake is a worldly quest in which believers shouldn’t take part. When people trust money instead of God, they can find that the wealth they trusted in has vanished.

“The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want” (Proverbs 21:5).

“Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished, but he who gathers by labor will increase” (Proverbs 13:11, NKJV).

“Honor the Lord with your capital and sufficiency [from righteous labors] and with the firstfruits of all your income; so shall your storage places be filled with plenty, and your vats shall be overflowing with new wine” (Proverbs 3:9, 10, AMPC).
All good things, including financial income, originate from God, and He knows how important money is to earthly life. Honoring Him in our finances opens us up to abundance.

“When I said, ‘My foot is slipping,’ your unfailing love, LORD, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy” (Psalm 94:18, 19, NIV).
We’ll always make our share of mistakes, but God is always there to pick us up and help us continue. When fear threatens to overcome us, the joy of His loving presence steadies and strengthens us.

“For not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified” (Romans 2:13, NKJV).
We must be careful that all our words and deeds demonstrate the grace and mercy we’ve received from Jesus Christ. Others are watching everything we do. As His ambassadors, we can show the world His true nature.

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us” (Hebrews 12:1, NKJV).
If we’re not careful, we can let the world distract us from focusing on Jesus. To prevent that, God has put people around us to point us back to Him and keep us on track.

“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24).
Each new day is a gift from God, and we can make it into anything we choose. Every 24-hour period is a blank slate, with fresh opportunities to thank and praise our creator for giving us life.
