God is the very essence of love, which is His nature. Because of this, everything He does is motivated by His love for us. God loved us and knew us by name even before we were born; when we accept Him, He chooses to make us His children.

We walk fully in the Lord when we do what we know is right because it pleases God. Persevering in doing this strengthens and deepens our understanding of His Word and brings us joy.

Many people have trouble believing this straightforward and direct promise. Jesus is God, who made all of creation, given to us in human form; the same power that raised Jesus from the dead also makes us strong enough to overcome evil and adversity.
