Living the Rest Life

Faith

Summary:
Biblical rest isn’t inactivity or withdrawal, but a faith posture where we align our minds with what Jesus has already finished. While the language of rest and labor may seem contradictory, we see that God calls us to labor in belief, not in performance. We stop striving to earn righteousness and instead rest in the truth that we are already righteous because of Christ. Grace doesn’t make us passive; it produces Spirit-empowered action that flows naturally from relationship, not pressure. When we misunderstand rest, we fall back into law-based thinking that drains joy, peace, and confidence. As we stay connected to the Vine, fruit appears in our lives without us forcing results. This rest-centered life restores us, frees us emotionally, and allows God’s presence to work powerfully through us.
