October 7
“Jesus answered, My kingdom (kingship, royal power) belongs not to this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My followers would have been fighting to keep Me from being handed over to the Jews. But as it is, My kingdom is not from here (this world); [it has no such origin or source]” (John 18:36, AMPC).
Jesus declares that His kingdom is spiritual and not rooted in worldly systems. His authority transcends earthly power, revealing a supernatural realm governed by heaven’s principles.
October 6
“So we are Christ’s ambassadors, God making His appeal as it were through us. We [as Christ’s personal representatives] beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor [now offered you] and be reconciled to God” (2 Corinthians 5:20, AMPC).
Believers are appointed as Christ’s ambassadors, carrying His message of reconciliation. God works through us, inviting the world to receive His grace and be restored to Him.
October 5
“But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ” (Philippians 3:20, NIV).
Our true identity is rooted in heaven, not earth. As citizens of God’s kingdom, we live in anticipation of Christ’s return and eternal transformation.
October 4
“But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides” (Matthew 6:33, AMPC).
God promises provision when we prioritize His kingdom and righteousness above all else. Seeking Him first aligns us with divine order and unlocks supernatural supply.
October 3
“I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place” (Psalm 118:5).
Life seems to have plenty of opportunities for trouble and distress, but God is always willing to come to our rescue. When we feel trapped and hemmed in by a situation, we can go to Him in prayer, ask for His help, and He’ll deliver us.
October 2
“Jesus said, ‘If God were your father, you would love me, for I came from God and arrived here. I didn’t come on my own. He sent me. Why can’t you understand one word I say? Here’s why: You can’t handle it’” (John 8:42, 43, MSG).
Jesus confronting the religious leaders revealed their inability to understand Him; this stems from spiritual blindness. Their rejection of truth showed they weren’t aligned with God’s heart or voice.
October 1
“These are all warning markers—DANGER!—in our history books, written down so that we don’t repeat their mistakes. Our positions in the story are parallel—they at the beginning, we at the end—and we are just as capable of messing it up as they were” (1 Corinthians 10:11, MSG).
The failures of Israel were recorded as warnings for us today. We must remain vigilant and humble, knowing we’re just as capable of falling if we ignore God’s guidance.
July 31
“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5).
Before the cross, there was no mediator between God and man; there was no one other than human priests to intercede between God and mankind. After the cross, Jesus, our High Priest, is that mediator.
July 30
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).
The world’s philosophies tell us that there are many ways to heaven, but Jesus—the Son of God—is the only way. We could never earn our way into heaven through our good deeds.
