Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5).

A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found. But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity (Psalm 37:10, 11, NIV).

The world has a negative connotation for the word “meek;” its biblical interpretation describes those who live a quiet and gentle life and deliberately submit to God’s will. He’ll do away with the wicked and will greatly bless those who live according to His Word.

In the process of making heaven and earth, God saw the end of time as He was creating its beginning. Time doesn’t exist in heaven; the idea of days, weeks, months, and years is an earthly concept.

God always answers us when we have questions; however, His answer may not always come according to our earthly expectations of time. We can trust that we will hear from Him in His own time.

Giving God’s Word first place in our lives allows us to be confident that He’ll bless us; He’s completely trustworthy. In the meantime while we’re waiting, we need patience.
